On a side note, I have my new computer :D Now I can play games with sound and make them too.

Compiling the game
I've been alerted that when compiled with MSVC my entry might not work correctly on Windows.
Dario ff has been kind enough compile it with mingw for me, so a binary is available here: (This is the submitted code that has been compiled)
http://www.allegro.cc/files/attachment/604515Also, I think there's a chance my winreadme.txt is not up to date with me regaulr readme.txt, but it is only license ...

Postmortem
Overall, I'll label this SpeedHack a success.
On top of time constraints, it has been a few years since I've used C++, so I was a little rusty. I use C# most of the time now, so it was mostly an issue of remembering how archaic C++ is ;). I haven't had to do my own memory management in ages, but I don't think I have any glaring memory leaks. Oh, and the bass-ackward header file system bit me a few times - I'm used to just updating my implementation as I see fit ...

Oh Well
Well, I didn't get very far into implementing my idea before I was pulled away from coding.
My idea was essentially going to be a (slightly) modified version of the dice game '10 Thousand', except it was going to use colours instead of dice. I'm not sure how I would be able to incorporate the 'Laziness' rule... I was thinking if the computer player got too far ahead then it would begin making terrible decisions... For the 'Brainwashing Propaganda' I had planned ...

Uploaded!
Well this year was tough. I had almost no time due to other commitments. I'd never used Allegro 5 before, and my C++ was rusty as all get out. But I made something that meets the rules, though it's not the most playable. :)
Check out "Zombies Love You" and let me know what you think! :)

Krakka-BOOM
With less than 20 minutes on the clock, I decided to invoke The Act of Chameleon. I am invoking the Act of Chameleon to replace "Laziness" with "Krakka-BOOM".

with only 20 minutes remaining....
Just submitted a newer version. Man, I tweaked this thing to the very end!
I hope you guys enjoy! ;)

Finished!
Finally finished this hideous game, with 28 minutes to spare!
Successfully compiled in Linux, though couldn't run it. I suspect it's my VM acting up.Speedhack: CHECK

Bowing out gracefully
Well, for the second time my weekend is occupied with family matters so I will not be able to finish. Hopefully next time will be different.
Cheers! -
I am done~!
Started here:
<alledos> Speedhack ends in 1 hour and 57 minutes.Finished here:
<alledos> Speedhack ends in 54 minutes and 37 seconds. An hour to make a game! Awesome planning is crucial!
Anyways, my game features scores, getting easier / heavier as it goes, propaganda bits, it DEFINATELY washes brains out of skulls and i even managed to pull off some voice recorded sound effects and composed music :) -
I stink
So what happened... I chopped off half of the code, and then the usual development stuff. Bugs, things you hadn't thought out etc. First time I ran into buffer overflow bug (that didn't crash my program :-X ). Fixed it immediately thanks to dbg 8-)
Spend two hours last night trying to compile on windows. (Oh, my god, I can't even compile a program!) Then I decided to work on the font file which didn't work !@^&@#
I didn't shower last night. And I don't ... -
Done
My entry is up now, too! To entice you to play it, here is a screenshot of the title. I made it with Gimp. You can, as well: just go to File > Create > Logos > Neon...
I'm looking forward to playing everyone else's entries.

Chameleoned!
After 0.5h of work i have a game ready, time to add some tunes and I'm done!
I used the chameleon wildcard bonus rule to swap "Colour symbolism" with something i might have implemented, and here I go with "Oral sound effects". See you soon!
-
Just started!
Uhm... I'm so late, but I still can make it. Can't decide on chameleon thingie yet.
Wish me luck!

Done
It's 3:44 AM local time and I submitted my entry. I got it to compile on Linux (gcc 4.5.2) and on Windows (mingw 4.4) so that should be good. I'm too tired to make Windows binaries right now, but I'll get on it later. The game has an annoying enet dependency (no Windows binaries on the internets), but it shouldn't be too bad.
Hopefully I didn't forget anything in my zip file :/.

Compiling
Anyone wanna give me some peace of mind and confirm my entry compiles?
-
Home-stretch
Pretty much done, just need to confirm that it compiles on Linux.
Added a massive GUI:

Figures...
A minute after uploading, I run the game and spot 3 minor graphical glitches involving text. Figures.
My extra now has a binary, so anyone interested in playing the game can just get it.If you wanna know how the 'official' version is, download the extra and just go inside '\data' and remove the file '3ddance.wav'.

Submitted!
Overall, I'm very satisfied with my submission "LightRacer". I have a complete mini-game, balanced gameplay, met all the requirements of SpeedHack without having to evoke the Act of Chameleon, and there are basically no bugs in the gameplay.
Best of all, I came in at only 128k and still have super sweet great graphics.
Hopefully I did the format/submission/makefile correctly. I just dumped all my h and .cpp files into the same folder. I hope it ...

Uploaded
Alright!
The extra version contains music, that's the only difference
Now, time to upload a binary... -
One... More... Must... Squash...
Weeding out one last bug and I'll be submitting.
