Now Engaged in SpeedHack
Some nice rules this year and for the most part they're very doable. If anything, I may enact the chameleon to discard the laziness rule, but I think it would be cooler to take the rules as-is...
... I'm jumpin' on the idea train right now :P

E for Everyone
... doesn't mean E for excessive censorship. At first, I thought I was going to have to do a kiddy-cartoon game, or a board game, so I googled "E for Everyone" only to realize that that's a very open genre - mario, mega man, zelda (Every Zelda game has a rating of E except for Twilight Princess and Link's Crossbow Training which were both rated T and Spirit Tracks which was rated E10+.). Basically it means "no bloody violence or suggestive themes".

Gameplay First ;D
As much as I'd like to work on the flashy graphics... I decided yesterday that I would get the game working first - making it fun and enjoyable before anything else.
I have some the basic game structures in place that could go into 2 different game ideas...
Any guesses? ;D

Problem Solving
Satisfaction is trying to solve problem A, only to find out that it isn't working because of problem B, and that solving B will solve A, B, and the other problems C, D, and E that you hadn't yet addressed.

WIP
Here's a screenshot. Neato neato :)
I have my genre on lockdown (maybe). There's just a few hurdles left for me to solve before the game is playable. Hopefully I can get them done ASAP so I can focus on the pizazz. B-)

Gameplay: Completed!
Time for bed. :)

Haxxx
Finally got perspective in. Some of the sloppiest code I've written, and I am deep in the thickets of hacking. B-)

Submitted!
Overall, I'm very satisfied with my submission "LightRacer". I have a complete mini-game, balanced gameplay, met all the requirements of SpeedHack without having to evoke the Act of Chameleon, and there are basically no bugs in the gameplay.
Best of all, I came in at only 128k and still have super sweet great graphics.
Hopefully I did the format/submission/makefile correctly. I just dumped all my h and .cpp files into the same folder. I hope it compiles ;) Since there's still a few hours left I may want to tweak a few things with the presentation. Now that I think about it, I still have the console window activated... and I forgot to turn the booster off...
A submission update coming soon! ;D
