Well, my game is the most evil!
Warlord Premier Mr Bush == Great Success!

I was still debugging/finishing the framework when I started on Friday (it couldn't draw images or dispatch keyboard input yet).
I wrote all of the gameplay during the last day of SpeedHack.
I also added Box2D *back* in during the last day and figured out the OpenLayer vs. Box2D coordinate system inconsistency.
game-world.cpp, e{cat, bukkit, walrus, mat, ball}.hpp files contain really all the game logic.
The framework was overengineered, but I ...

PLEASE NOTE: Those who want to compile this game (for linux, for example), please use the source that is at the end of this post. I made a mistake and uploaded the source code of saturday (but the binary I uploaded was the latest). I have sent a private message to Matthew to solve that problem...
This is a video of the game in youtube (it will help you to understand how it works):

Ahhh sleep beautiful sleep. After the deadline I just crashed and burned like the Hindenburg. Any way after I woke up I played the game and found some pretty dumb buggs. The kind where I put the wrong variable in the wrong place or had the wrong line of code commented out. Anyway I fixed them and comliled a windows binary. You can downlaod it at:

Bah, well it got submitted in chipmunk mode, the game timer was at 60FPS where it should be at 30FPS, to top it off, there are way too many enemies.
I feel robbed :p
If you are downloading my entry, c'mon.. gimme a chance..
open game.c..
change line 11 to #define HERO_CHANCE 50
change line 39 to #define LOGIC_SPEED 40
that's it, it makes the game actually fun!
Also, compiling instructions weren't ...

Oops. There's one known bug: your distance is supposed to contribute to your score, but only the rightmost three digits are used. To fix it, change
static int getscore() {
return ballx/metre+numpeople*200...

I double posted.!

I ended up spending a day and making an entry. It was my friends idea, not mine, but I did most of the programming (minus the confusing math stuff and ugly hackish code you see scattered around). It's an interesting game... I can't really imagine anyone actually playing it.

I just realized, I forgot to put in a makefile, so we're probably (even more) disqualified/DNF.
For anyone that wants it, there's a
win32 binary [illegal-instruction.net] available.

Alright, I put together a Windows binary package of Missilopolis (minus the source code) and uploaded it to my personal webspace. Get it at:
http://onid.oregonstate.edu/~brownelb/Release/Missilopolis.zip
Here's another screenshot of the game in action, just for kicks. Feel free to post your top scores as a comment! I've reached 507 points so far, but I bet that over 1000 is easily possible with excellent

My game is missing most of the gameplay I wanted. What I wanted to do (and most likely will do before uploading this to the depot) is the following:
Enemies: none in the SpeedHack version
Sounds: I've only got music
Cities: There are supposed to be four cities, each with different styles of building
Characters: There's supposed to be a faerie, a pixie and a wisp
Code Organization: It's called Speed*Hack* for a reason
Pause Screen: None yet

Our game was finished off just in time. It was very tight, but the game was uploaded by the deadline apparently. I was surprised at the end because i thought the competition ended an hour before it did. In fact my computer clock showing GMT still appears to be an hour in front of the clock in the left upper corner of the screen. So the competition apparently ended at 10:00pm in Australia where i live. This hour was the saving grace for the game, and it would have been completely unplayable ...

Of the finished game.

Kuukunen still here.
Just for the heck of it.
I've been too busy coding to post any screenshots.

For the lazy people, here's binaries. This version is with the music I had to remove in the last minute because I noticed it wouldn't fit in the zip. Map editor also included! (F2, F3, Tab, 1, 2, 3, Mouse buttons)
Here's the zip:

Hello, this is Kuukunen posting as sigmar.
This was sort of a weird weekend. Original plan was to code as a team of four... Which sounds dysfunctional, and that it was. I personally had work for Friday, so I couldn't be with the rest of the team when they started, but after work I caught up with them. (I Live in Finland, so Deadline was 16:00 on Monday for us.)
Things started going badly from the start. I and sigmar had serious case of coder's block. We started doing ...

I kind of knew it. But anyhow, it's always fun to at least try. I might even finish this sometime.
-
Ok, my game is done. Some parts of the soundtrack aren't great and sound effects are missing completely. Otherwise it's a solid game and I hope you enjoy it.
A few small issues and still remain as I didn't have much time for testing. I'm going to make a revised version, including a Windows build.
-
I finished the game. 4:55am.
Then realized my packaging script was totally borked. Wasn't including all the header files.
5:00am rolled around while I was futzing with it and now I'm locked out from uploading.
EDIT: THANK YOU to Matthew Leverton for putting up my submission!

In the last 15 minutes of SpeedHack, I uploaded a new version. Should have more than +100 levels now. Enjoy! Is really addictive...
Cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war!!
Get it while the flesh is still fresh!

I have finished and uploaded my game. If someone can give it a try, it would be great.

I know it's very hard, but you can change the minigame by pressing 1,2,3 or 4.
